He founded the lab in 2020 and still runs the bench himself — every board that comes in is diagnosed and repaired by Sergio, under the microscope.

Sergio Parra is the microsoldering technician behind Microsfix. He founded the lab in 2020 and works the bench himself — he specializes in the component-level repairs most shops won't touch: liquid damage, no-power boards, dead HDMI ports and data recovery. His rule is simple: an honest diagnosis first, and he'll tell you when a board isn't worth saving.
When a board won't power on or a device takes a spill, swapping parts rarely solves it. Sergio traces the fault to the component — a shorted line, a failed IC, a damaged port — and repairs that. It's slower and harder than a parts swap, and it's why customers come to him after being told their device couldn't be saved.
Consoles with dead HDMI ports and no video. Controllers with stick drift. Liquid-damaged laptops and MacBooks. Phones and iPads that won't charge. And recovering data everyone else gave up on.
A real microsoldering shop in Elmwood Park — microscopes, hot air, and component-level work.

The pattern in our reviews is simple: people come after being told “it can’t be fixed.”
